Experiència d’alumnes de CFGS a Cork (Irlanda)

Alumnes de 2n del Cicle Formatiu de Grau Superior d’Administració i Finances que són a Irlanda amb les beques Erasmus, ens envien la seva experiència a la ciutat de Cork. Vine a conèixer el centre a la Jornada de Portes Obertes, dissabte 7 de maig de 10:30h a 13:30h.

When I arrived to Dublin airport I had to take a bus that took me to Cork in three hours approximately.

I could see quickly what welcoming Irish people are.

My host family collected me in the bus stop of Cork and they provided me everything necessary to stay there.

About the weather I can say that are the four seasons in one day.

In comparison with my country (Barcelona) Cork is a small but lovely city. You can go by walk anywhere.

My school is fantastic. All people are close, teachers help you and give you extra homework if you need and students are friendly and nice.

My first host family was fantastic but a little far from the bus stop so I asked to change my host family and in a few days I was in a better host family.

The food is so good but in many families maybe you will eat potatoes almost every day.

The accent of Irish people is, at first, hard to understand but the more you hear, the easier you understand.

The nightlife and social life in Cork city is so relaxed. You can go with your new friends to pubs and taste Irish beers in the nights.

Also, you can visit wonderful places like Blarney Castle or the Cliffs of Moher in the weekends.

You will know many friends from different nationalities and it will be easier to stay far of your family.

Maybe the most difficult of stay abroad is the feeling of loneliness. But is a unique experience that will make you grow as a person.

All of this without counting your improving level of English.
